PHILADELPHIA — Every year the WMMR morning radio crew, Preston & Steve, hold a food drive to help feed hungry people in the Philadelphia area. They broadcast their show from inside a tent set-up at Xfinity Live next to the stadiums in South Philly. The many tons of non-perishable food items collected benefit Philabundance.

Plenty of celebrities and bands lend their support. This year The Record Company performed a free concert for anybody that made a donation. The Record Company is a hard rocking blues band out of Los Angeles, CA. Bassist, Alex Stiff, is a native of Wayne, Pennsylvania.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The Penn’s Table restaurant in downtown West Chester has had multiple code violations. During 2016, the Chester County Health Department has issued seven food safety violations including “accumulation of dust, grease and/or food residue”.

Penn’s Table is also the only business in West Chester that accumulates large amounts of trash on the sidewalk.

In violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and local code, Penn’s Table blocks the sidewalk on a regular basis.
