American Red Cross Southeastern PA crown jewel of disaster recovery is the Red Cross House, the only one of its kind in America. In recent weeks, Red Cross House has been exceedingly busy, often filled to capacity. In this mission moment, you’ll learn more about what Red Cross House does for disaster survivors and why it’s been full lately.
PHILADELPHIA, PA — Every year as we approach Christmas, there is a spike in home fires. Extra caution should be taken when you put a dead tree in your house and increase the use of flames and electrical chords.
The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter said, “Over the weekend, we responded to 8 local disasters to assist 16 families, 52 people displaced by home fires.”
