PHILADELPHIA, PA – Attorney General Linda Kelly, Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan and Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler held a news conference at the Attorney General’s Philadelphia office, 7801 Essington Ave.

The purpose of the news conference was to announce a series of arrests in “Operation Blowout,” a joint investigation that identified 27 individuals allegedly linked to a $3.5 million methamphetamine trafficking organization that stretched from the Philadelphia and suburban counties into the Lehigh Valley, and as far north as Tioga and Lycoming counties, in north-central Pennsylvania.

Seized drugs, weapons, cash and other items, along with photos of the defendants, was on display at the news conference.

Green Lane, PA –- Montgomery County Parks and Heritage Services Division’s Green Lane Park will host a “Waterfowl Watch” Program on Saturday, November 24 at 1:00pm. The fall migration of ducks, geese, swans, and other birds will be well underway. Bring binoculars to witness this annual spectacle. Participants in past years have seen Greater White-fronted Geese, Northern Pintails, and Canvasbacks, to name a few.

Green Lane Park has been designated as an “Important Bird Area” by Pennsylvania Audubon. It is one of only 81 sites state-wide to receive this distinction.

The program will meet at the tennis court parking lot on Green Lane Road in Green Lane Park. (2298 Green Lane Road, Green Lane, PA 18054). Participants will travel by car to two additional “hot spots” in the park.
